Exhibition at Tao Art Gallery, Mumbai, in February 2019

In February 2019, Shakti returned to the city where he first exhibited his art in the 1970s - Mumbai. The exhibition, titled ‘Subverting Duchamp, Celebrating Beauty, Reconnecting with Mumbai’, was held at Tao Art Gallery and included a mix of new and older work. At the opening, Shakti was in conversation with Dolly Thakore and an engaged audience. He also did a well-attended walk-through during the course of the exhibition, which ran for a month and received a wonderful response.
